Default Where would you go with a 7thG 6-6?

I've got a 2005 V-6 6-speed coupe, aside from Acura sway bars its stock. I didn't expect to be doing much driving this summer and fall because of medical problems but this afternoon my medical problems sort of went away, at least for another two months. So I'll be driving the car after all.

I'd like to get the car to handle better. The sway bars help but they are not a cure-all and I'm sure a good set of street/sport shocks and possibly even a set of springs (coil overs possibly?) would do wonders for the car too. I have no desire to lower the car but if it were to go down an inch or something close to that I could live with it. I'd also like to improve the lighting, not necessarily HIDs but something better - which might also include installing fog lights, particularly if there is some stock part from another year or model that might fit.

I'm more or less satisfied with the engine, but if there are good value performance improvements that wouldn't require me to dig very deep into the engine or fuel system would be considered.

I expect when it comes brake time I'll go the same route on this car as I did on my Acura CL/S. I used EBC slotted sport rotors with Redstuff pads. The combination has been good but I think I'd go to the Greenstuff pads instead. I just don't get the brakes hot enough for the Redstuff pads to either be required or to even work well

So tell me, what would you do. I don't want go go hog nuts on it, but I'd like to see overall improvement in performance, from lighting to suspension to power train and I'd like to put together a balanced package. What say you?

On Edit: I won't say that cost is no concern, but I can afford to do what makes sense.

The car has BF Goodrich G-Force Super Sports, 215-50-17 (95V) tires on stock 7x17" rims. The tires have about 90% tread left. I'm satisfied with the tires although they do transmit considerable road noise.

To get significant performance boost on your engine, it would be expensive, and not worth it IMO.

Shocks and springs would be the next step to improve handling. I am not an expert on what are good and bad brands. You should create a new thread in the suspension forum.

I am assuming that you want to upgrade the headlights, so they are brighter? I'm sure there is a bunch of information about HID kits for your car.

Wink Modifications

You should prioritize your mods. Feel what you don't like about your car. I feel like my 7th gen accord needs to have wayyy less body roll. I'm fine with the power already, i've actually driven my car quite hard and the biggest problem by far is just that i can't get the power down, during a turn because the traction control is always waiting for enough grip. Even though i turn it off, i'd suffer from understeer like in one incident, i almost ran into a side of a mountain cause of it. So that being said, i am upgrading my sway bars to be thicker to help with the weakest point of the car and actually be able to use my power through the twisties. so in conclusion, work on the suspension is my suggestion.
