The title says it all really. The car will start fine, I can use the gear shift but when I move it into reverse it seems to back up a millimeter and then lock into something. I'm against a concrete bump in front but from what I can tell drive seems to be working.

Any ideas? Questions?

Also, in Dallas and without a good shop. Any ideas for a good place to take it? Thinking about Hondews.

 

Does it act like it's in neutral; does the engine just rev?

Put it in neutral & push it backwards, just to get it out of there for now.

 

An Angie's List subscription may be a good investment. About $40 I think. Look for shops w/ A rating and at least 5 reviews.
