Default Window Leak

While pulling the blower motor from my 93 accord, I noticed my carpet was wet. Found that the bottom part of the windshield trim is lifted up off the glass. I push it down, it just pops back up. I rubber on the trim is NOT torn, however I can see white plastic tabs that appear to be broken, any advice on how to fix this would be great, thanks.

Sounds like it's time for a trip to the body shop and to get the white tabs and a helpful information on the way to fix that problem...

I doubt the trim piece is the source of the leak. The underlying rubber sealant between the window and body is what seals. It might be necessary to remove the trim to examine the seal. Unless someone did a shoddy windshield replacement, the seal should be good.

If your car has a sunroof, I would check for leakage from the drain pan due to blocked or disconnected drain tubes. Also examine the door seal carefully for splits, gaps, or other faults.

good luck

I have no sunroof but did notice speaker cover on the door was wet. I also felt a couple drops of moisture under the blower motor unless my hands were already wet. So maybe two sources of leaks, the door window looks to be the worst of it. I will pull the trim and check the windshield, hopefully that one is ok. Thanks for the advice.

If you have AC, the AC drain may be blocked. This results in evaporator housing filling w/ water until it overflows onto the carpet. When AC is running, check the drain line on passenger side down low on the firewall near and below the evaporator connections.
