I have a 92 accord 4dr. The driver window has been rolling up and down pretty slow for a month and then today i rolled it down and it wont go back up. When i try to roll it up it makes this loud vibrating type of noise from the inside of the door. does anyone know what is going on and how to fix it?

 

sounds like the power window motor is shot, or the cable that controls it is frayed and getting stuck inside the motor.... either way it's probably time to replace it... I bought my motor from www.1aauto.com (or www.1aautomotive.com can't remember the exact address) and that was the cheapest I found it with a lifetime warranty for like $65.00 or so (shipped) you could remove the door panel and inspect it further then manually push the window up and wedge it into place for a temporary fix.... regardless of what's going on you're probably going to have to pull the door panel off

 

thanks a bunch for your advice. Im gonna order the motor today but was wondering about the quick fix you recommended. You said that i could push the window up from the inside. How exactly do i do that? i tried pulling on the window from the top but it wouldn't budge.

 

you'll have to remove the door panel and push the window up into place then secure it there somehow (I just wedged a stick in temporarily)

 

i have the same issue on my 95 4 door passenger side, ill be fixing it myself but im not sure how to remove the door panel, who knows how do take it off?
