wire mystery
ok here's the deal I have a 4 door 94 honda accord lx that I bought used the car runs okay other than ball joint needed replaced it does have a little over 258,000 mi but you cant tell by the it runs I keep up with maintenance because of the mileage and age. But here's the fun part apparently the original horn went out so instead of doing this the correct way they rigged the button horn that is placed on the steering to the brake lights so there's snips from original wires to the "rigged" wires basically the taillights are what powers the horn to work. The reason this a issue is because my radio that I bought to replace the old (not factory) stereo worked but would display "miswiring" error this the longest that's it has not worked. Im going to go back and follow the red wires running from the trunk (the red wires are tapped to the tail light bulbs lol to under the hood back through the steering wheel something to that maze.I would like some guidance on if its fixable? There is a black ground wire and the red wires are tapped to the switch that you pull to turn tail lights!!!
is it as fixable as it seems to me? If not what are the options? What do I go about doing as far as if its a DIY project to make sure there isn't a short to my radio. Goodness this a bit much but I love my hondas and willing to do it all please help and thanks if something is confusing on what im describing please let me know but the issue is in the horn and tail light I'm very positive on it. Just a curious question how the bleep did one accomplish this mess

Who thought that was a good idea? lol.
What I would personally do, is remove any non factory wiring immediately as it seems like a fire hazard. Then once all non factory wiring is removed figure out what doesn't work and go about fixing those from there.
