Worth The Price ??
Hello Everyone,
Just looking for some input from everyone. I'm gonna start pampering my "New Baby" Been looking around at oil filters, air cleaners, oil..etc..etc. Pretty sure I'm gonna start using a Synthetic oil on my next
oil change. Looked at K&N filters, air and oil, those baby's are pretty darn expensive.. Anyone using K&N and are they really worth the extra price? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

RE: Worth The Price ??
I had a K&N on my 94 accord. I didnt notice a difference, though I thought it was kinda cool. I think it evens out in price, as you dont have to replace it. Keep in mind that you will have to clean it more often than specced. I learned that the hard way.
As far as synthetic, i think its a waste of $, but that is my opinion. I changed the oil in my 94 every 5-7k with regular 5w30, and it was running great when i sold it at 231k.

If you're talking about a K&N replacement panel filter then I don't think it's worth it, been there done that. You won't notice any performance difference. Synthetic vs Dino oil is a decision you'll have to make after doing some research. To me it's worth it, I have it in everything right down to the lawnmower. Check out Bobistheoilguy site for months of reading. Pennzoil Platinum synthetic is turning out to be every bit as good as Mobil 1 and costs less to boot. If you are planning on 3000-4000 mile oil change intervals any dino 5W20 will work wonderfully. Motorcraft synthetic blend is a top contender and is priced right......providing you can find it.
