Would you remove the hood and front fender to replace the Cam seals?
I have 175,000 miles on this Honda and I am well on my way to repairing the body. The rear end needed some serious work. I didnt replace the metal but cleaned up and cut as much rust as possbile then put galvenized metal on top of that then added a lot of bondo magic.
Now I think I should have done some before and afters pics. I will post a picture after I finish painting.
I have been looking at an oil leak and find it near impossible to get near anything. The motor is low and tight, like all side mounts are, against the wheel covers so I thought I would just remove the hood, fender, and wheel cover so I could fix whatever needed fixing. Is that nuts? Is it way too much work for too little gain?
Just doing a sanity check cause I am doing this in about 2 weeks after I finish repainting the car myself. I know the leak is somewhere on the drivers side. Any ideas would be a big help.
Thanks

Remove the plastic inner fender liner. That's easy.
But the sheetmetal fender won't really help you much. It's the structure of the unibody that's blocking things, and you won't remove that by unbolting the fender. Removing stuff from alongside the engine will help out a lot. PS fluid reservoir, cruise-control module, stuff like that.
