screeching noise while driving between 15 to 25 mph
Car: honda accord
year: 1992
milage: 154500
When i am driving at around 15-20 mph and maintain the same speed, i get screeching noise, but it goes away when i step on the gas or apply brakes. Mechanic says there is nothing wrong with the brakes, Engine or transmission. Please let me know what can be the possible reason for this noise.

RE: screeching noise while driving between 15 to 25 mph
Thanks a lot for the information. Is it timing belt? I got timing belt changed 3 years back and have driven 20K miles since then. what is belt dressing? thanks for the information in advance.

not the timing belt, the belt that drives all the accessories alt/p. steering/ac. if you go to auto zone/auto barn or any auto parts store, walmart/target. The supermarket may even have it. ask anyone there for belt dressing, the instructions are on it. buy the one with the straw on it, otherwise you'll end up just spraying it everywhere.
