Question 09 V6 Intake

Has anyone actually seen better gas mileage out of the K&N short ram intake for the 08, 09, 10, or is it basically for the sound and 5hp?

Thanks,
JPX

ill watch this post, i have the same car as yours, highway 60 to 65 mph i can squeezz 30 mpgs, around town its right around 22 mpgs. if i keep my foot out of it, its a fun car to drive, my other ride is a 86 mustang gt. 5.0. a few mods, runs low 13s. only gets 15 mpgs though. love my accord.

i cannot honestly imagine anybody forking over $300 for 1mpg bertter gas mileage. Theoretically, you could get better gas mileage, but once you hear that roar that makes your car sound like an aston martin, you will sacrifice that extra 2mpg.

I have this app on my iphone that has almost every sports car you can think of's exhaust sound. I played a clip of mine and a clip of a 2008 M3 and he said he couldnt hear much of a difference. keep in mind i also have an exhaust.

good point, good point, but still the fact that they are even similar is very impressive for only $1000 extra.

Ya i was just curious, I'm going to have to change the air filter soon anyway and was wondering if it possibly gained 1,2,3 mpg. Plus 5-10 hp and quicker throttle response can’t hurt. I hear ya bobwb I have a 87 fox with a 408 stroker that gets about 7-8 mpg so the 22 I get in the Honda isn’t to bad lol. Jason what kind of exhaust do you have to make it sound that good?
