The piping is larger on the V2's compared to the older versions, that's why it won't fit. Don't bother w/ an SRI - just get a drop in K&N filter.

I do hope you are kidding. The drop in K&N does zilch, I should know I've wasted money before on those darn things. The difference between it and an SRI or CAI is like night and day.

I have to agree. I got a drop in K&N and it did nothing for me, either power or mileage wise. My SRI has been an improvement in both, though.

No one makes an SRI for the 7thgen V6's yet, atleast not to my knowledge. All I've found are CAI. So unless he wants the ebay special, or fab one himself, the drop in filter is his only other option unless he just wants to stay stock.

Q: Can I use an AEM Bypass Valve with the V2? A: NO. AEM V2 Induction Systems utilize a dual chamber to create multiple frequency sound waves. The installation of the AEM Bypass Valve would disrupt the tuning of these systems, and in many cases the tube diameter of the V-2 systems exceeds the maximum size of the AEM BPV making it impossible to install.
