Default Ebay headers.

I am looking at a header kit on ebay for 45$and it seems to include everything to the cat.
i dont expect this to last more then a year or 2 but i need to replace a cracked manifild from the f22a1 that is in the car.
i have a f22a6 manifold but it wont connect to the pipe from the a1 and the O2 sencor is not in tha manifold.
I dont want to rewire the car to have the O2 sencor in the underside of the car and the Ebay header has the port for the O2 sencor where i can use the original one.
An other option is to see if any one here has an A1 manifold that would trade for an A6 manifold.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

I got the 40$ set that was on Ebay.
I am not to worried about looks ATM and i will simlpy get the welder at the shop to clamp the flange on the flat plate and check the welds. If he thinks they are bad he will simply redo them.
This is not a performance dirrected car.
Its a daily driver that i need to keep running for my spouce until we win the lottery(giggles) He needs reliable cheap transpostation.
I checked for a stock cast manifold and its 75$ or more.
yikes.
This header has the same type 4 to 2 into 1 that the A6 has and is complete from head to cat.
Less fitment

With the a4 manifold the bung for the 02 in on the down pipe not the header itself. B/c it’s a tubular style header. The prob. with the ebay headers...the o2 bung is off only ONE of the exhaust ports. SO your o2 is ONLY reading the mixture from only ONE of the 4 cyls. SO if say cyl 4 starts to tune really lean the computer cant compensate or pop a CEL to tell you something is wrong b/c it will never be detect it....see what I mean? That is another reason why ebay headers aren’t all that great. BUT if you still do decide to go ebay drill a hole in the down pipe and weld a o2 bung after the collector so that your o2 reads the exhaust mixture from ALL cyls.

can’t really say b/c we don’t know what part of the exhaust is lose..If it’s a heat shield under the car...then no replacing the header and down pipe will not stop it b/c you aren’t replacing the prob.
It’s a 50/50 chance

Well test pipes are legal in some states, but not any states that require a inspection... Also they are not very ecofriendly, and on a basically stock car, will not yeild much of a hp improvement and can actually decrease your gas milage... Also you can pick up a stock manifold for like 15 to 20 dollars at a salvage yard...

I don't think test pipes are legal in ANY states. US-EPA and the emmissions laws are FEDERAL laws.

But the majority of states don't go looking under your car and measuring tailpipe emmissions. And no real enforcement. That doesn't mean it's legal.
