Default Exhaust Leak

So i'm pretty sure i've got one. Dumb question... could that rob HP and MPG? some one told me it could due to "back pressure"? just wanted to see what you guys thought

YES!

When I had an exhaust leak my MPG was dropping to below 20. Didnt notice much of a performance drop until the check engine light came on. But I had a pretty big leak. I see you have a cat back and am assuming your leak is with the exhaust manifold or cat?

yeah, my MPG is GARBAGE right now!!!!! the leak is coming from the flange that connects the muffler to the cat-back pipe. and i'm pretty sure it's affecting my performance too. Thanks for the reply

Is it a pretty big leak?
Do you just need a new gasket?

I have heard you are not suppposed to double up gaskets and I never tried it, but then doubling up worked for some people. So, good luck!
