yeah add 4 hp and lose 7 lb of torque[&:] like i said: no mods+aftermarket exhaust= Less power

as quoted from other forums

so i just saw your thread and to help you out with that...

the thing is with our engine, there is no torque already below 3000 rpm and getting an exhaust cuts low end power even more - the best way to remedy that is to
1. not change the piping
2. go single exhaust

i have a single conversion magnaflow muffler with a 2.25 inlet and a 4 in outlet with 2.25 all the way down and 1 resonator in

to be honest, i havent really gained much low end, but have gained a good amount of mid and high end.

but cat back will lose torque axle back doesnt do much

the good old back pressure debate lol. its odd that I have header and exhaust and make 40whp over stock.

I see A 5TH GEN ACCORD in your sig i hope youre not referring to it cause im talking about 6th gen and if you havent took the time to read I said loss of TORQUE and gain of HORSES and can i see a sheet or do you have one[sm=bustedsign.gif]

HP = TQ [ft. lbs] * RPM / 5252

This formula doesn't care if it's applied to a 5th gen, 6th gen or a tricycle. I don't have time to go through the airflow regime vs. backpressure discussion, but considering that this is the area that I am considered an expert, you can feel comfortable taking my word for it ..... or go do some research in fluid dynamics.

Maybe next week after my drawing issue I'll have more time to discuss this.

yeah but just because hp goes up doesnt mean torque goes up.....i have seen dyno sheets to prove it BOTTOM LINE IS: NO MODS+A/M EXHAUST= MORE HP BUT LESS TORQUE....thank you there is nothing that can prove that wrong.....

Re-read the formula above. Also, different motors respond differently to any type of mod.

At a given rpm, if the torque goes up, at that rpm, the HP has to go up. You are looking only at peak numbers which is not a good indicator of performance. When you can calculate the integral of the torque curve and compare that way, I'll take your arguments with a little merit. Until then, you have some reading to catch up on my friend.

I can't believe you're arguing with an engineer. Lol, and calculus FTMFW. Like Aaron said, area under the curve owns peak numbers.

skeetingclaybird, if we applied cars to the construction industry... you would be the architect.

Actually I do have one. And considering a H22 makes about 130wtq peak stock, I also made 20wtq increase with just bolt ons.

now lets see one with your:
