Exhaust Upgrade

Default Exhaust Upgrade

Ive got a 89 Accord Lx and just recently noticed my cat converter going bad and was thinking of just revamping the entire exhaust system itself hoping to score a few more HP with the upgrade as well. Ill be replacing the stock engine within 2-3 years and im not sure if this will effect what i do to the exhaust now or if i should wait.

Looking for some good recommendations for exhaust systems for the older accords, on a side note would be cool to have a low gutteral exhaust sound but not a major concern overall.

Just be sure to check local law. In some/many states - no cat when the car came OE with one and you fail inspection.

It appears to be nessecary in WV to have a cat equipped to the system.

Well, not the right thing to do - but they just look under the car to verify there is a shell.
