Default Intake Air Filter Advice for '98

Dear Honda Expertsssss,

Please advice.
I have a 98 accord that is desperately need a replacement air filter intake since my current one broke by being detachedat the plastic neck and the filter. I glued it back a couple of years ago but it came apart again and it is for sure time to replace since it got very dirty and old.

I would either buy a stock air filter intake which I never have from the previous Owner or buy a new “smoke legal” one. I plan to keep the car for another long while so please advice as which is a better way to do and where to buy it.

Thank you very much in advance for you help!!

For a "smog legal" one youll need one from AEM, K&N, Injen, Fujita... they need to be C.A.R.B. approved with a sticker. You can get an AEM short ram for about $110 shipped.

If you check out 6thgenaccord.com and post a "WTB" (Want To Buy thread int he For sale section, a lot of member may be willing to sell or trade you their stock intake box and hose.

$110 shipped for a smog legal AEM is not bad as all. I thought it would be more than that. Thanks for helping finch13. Please let me know where is the best and safe place to pick this up. Stock is simple, but I don't think I can go back .

Hmm... I got mine from modacar.com about a year and a half ago and it was $110 shipped... seems their prices are up right now, but still cheaper than everybody else @ $148... sorry.

I looked it up at Modacar and it is listed at $239.73 ouchhhh not $148. I was hoping that it runs around a hundred. Please suggest any other place to search. Thanks again.

Editted: Nevermind, I mistaken it with the Cold Air
