If you leave the stock cat, you'll still pass. Unless you are in CA or something
You'll definitely feel an increase in power + response, but it won't be major. Remember, these motors didn't come from the factory w/ performance in mind. The only real big power improvements are turbo, supercharger, cams, and whatnot. You'll notice the power more towards top end.
