looking for quiet exhaust and questions
I may be buying a 99 Accord with a vtec in the near future. If not I will for sure be getting a 4cyl accord.
I need it for a commuter car so I need the best mileage possible.
I have been looking into exhaust systems and intakes.
I prefer a quiet exhaust that still has the performance gain without the "ricer" sound.
What systems and muffelers out there can give me this?
I would also like a inexpensive header that still offers good performance.
Also what changes in gas mileage can i expect with a full exhaust system and cold air intake?
I look forward to you input, and thanks in advance!
This is also my first post so I hope to see more of everyone on these forums!

RE: looking for quiet exhaust and questions
OBX header with an APEXi WS2 exhuast should accomplish what you need, the exhaust is pretty quiet but it will roar (non-ricer style) when you really hit the throttle, the catback (apexi) is kinda spendy, the obx is reasonable

The Greddy SP2 gives you more performance (the most per the style of muffler actually) and is very quiet. oh and everything is full stainless steel, great for winter regions. apexi is mild steel and will rust sooner than later.

RE: looking for quiet exhaust and questions
you can get a hi flow cat off ebay for $40 to $50 dollars, keep in touch with all your local exhaust shops for a used muffler, they get them quiet a bit and you can usually get one for really cheap. if you are looking to increase the pipe diameter, start makin good friends with them! shouldnt be too much anyways.
hope this helps!
