Muffler with tip resonator make a difference?

Muffler with tip resonator make a difference?
I have a magnaflow muffler on my 96 accord, will it make a difference if I remove the tip resonator, or is it just about the same sound
. The tip is welded so I don't want to waste money removing it if doesn't make a big difference.
