the easiest way to reset the ECU is to pull the ECU fuse and backup fuse for like 10 minutes. then start it up like 19Accord97 said. i have to use this method because if i disconnect the battery at all, my backup alarm goes off. his way works too of course..

bro, look in your owners manual on how to reset it. on 5th gens you just stick your key in the slot in the gauge cluster. if you still dont know how, drive to a Honda dealership and they will tell you how. this is really simple.

To reset the Maint Req light on a 98-02 do the following: Get in the car, press the trip/reset buttom on the dash at the odometer, turn the key ON but do not crank the car yet. The Maint Req light will go off after you have been holding the trip/reset button down for a few seconds. When the light goes off, crank the car. You're done until the light comes on again in about 7,500 miles or so. Oh Yeah....[sm=icon_rtfm.gif] This is all in the owner's manual as Velocifero said.

bluelight
We need to know if you are referring to a "Check Engine" light or a "Service Required"/"Maintenance Required" light. There is a huge difference between the two.
