Default Noise coming from exhaust shield?

I have a 1994 Accord EX sedan w/manual transmission. I have a noise that occurs around the 1500 to 1800 RPM range. It has been suggested to me that it could be coming from an exhaust shield. I am curious if anyone else has had this problem and what the fix might be.

It is quick rattle sound, but it is kind of loud, so it is a little embarrasing leaving the house in the morning.

could be as simple as a heat shield making contact with your exhaust pipe. Got any way to get her up in the air? Usually the local shop can get rid of them for pretty cheap... (assuming that is the problem)

my 97 lx makes a slight rattle at around 1700rpm's. for mine it was just a heat sheild rattling slightly. sounds like yours is louder, but i'm sure it's the same problem

Check out the heatshield first. If that doesn't do it, there's another possibility.

The "A-pipe" is the 2-into-1 exhaust pipe that starts from the manifold, & goes under the oil pan.
Certain years (not sure which) the A-pipe was a double-wall thing, and the inside pipe would buzz against the outer pipe. That drove me nuts on a '95 Integra because I thought it was a heatshield.
