heat wrap is a cloth like material that you wrap around the thing that you want..for example you can use that to wrap the headers beacuse headers gets hot, so when you wrap that it lowers the temp inside the engine bay..another example is wrapping your aftermarket intake system with heat wrap, that way it stays much cooler inside the engine bay...and thus giving you more denser air.. i think i saw one on ebay..forgot how much it costs...but i went to autozone and they also have that..and i think they were $65-$80 somthing...

make sure you do it right...otherwise, when it unravels...its basically paper towels coated w/ resin. total junk.

keep it tight and keep it right, thats what i say :P

^^^ It's woven fiberglass. I did it to my headers .... eventually it fell apart from the heat. I wrapped and coated it with high temp paint/coating. It's not worth the headache and getting fiberglass all over yourself. Also, on the intake, the insulation can help the heat soak your intake, so that defeats its purpose.

Amen to not getting fiberglass all over yourself. it itches like (beep)....
I'll go for DC's or megans.... OBX... worked for falk so might be good...
