I have the Apexi WS2 and when I looked inside of the muffler I noticed a grill pretty far back inside thats probably there to prevent animals and w/e else from being shoved inside of it. It looks like it restrcits the exhaust and am wondering, if I were to remove that (mot likely i wont), would my ws2 be louder and feel any sort of addictional gain?

 

im sure its not restricting that much. but i dont know to much about ws2 exhaust so i could be wrong

If its just a mesh type grill, I wouldnt imagine it would restrict much. I dont know for sure though. Are you still thinking about changing out your WS2 for something else?

 

Its not really mesh. Its a solid metal. I'll have to take a picture sometime when its brighter. As for changing it out, I want to for something a little more noticeable but the funds arent here due to Christmas. I've mainly just been trying to find a replacement for the last section of the exhaust but idk if anything bolts up.

 

don't even mess with it.. it isn't worth it.. even if you took it out you wouldn't get it any louder.. i didn't get to hear your car the other night but louder isn't necessarily better.. and if anything thing restricting.. maybe it might lose you what ... 1hp.. oh geez.. just leave it alone.

 

lol yeah, I know if there is any gain itd be minimal, but I hate how quiet it is. I can't hear it over my sri. 94scaccord yours sounded great when you left and is basically how loud I want mine to be. I dont even know if other people can hear it inside their car when I hammer it. I knew it was quiet but I wish I could have my $430 back and buy an OBX exhaust.

 

ya but i have a bad leaking exhaust.. wait till i get it fixed.. it quiets down quite a bit..
