Default 1989 Honda Accord Automatic

My car acts like it wants to start but it just keeps trying to turn over and nothing happens. I have gas in it. The battery is fully charged...I know nothing about cars and I don't know anyone who can help. Can anyone give me some advice on where I need to begin? If paying for a certified mechanic was an option I wouldn't have asked for online help .... I'm just....lost.

You're going to need to do a few simple things to understand the problem. Is this a fuel injected or carbuerator car? It should say something like LXi on the trunk markings if it's fuel injected (i).

Repost which type so specific instructions can be provided.

good luck
