New to The Forum! Just have a question this time: I am having an issue with my AC/ Heater temp control switch that seems to only work on its highest temp. Its been really hot in my area ( Virginia Beach) so I havent minded the air on blast but as the fall and winter will be approaching soon I dont want my heat on blast all the time. I was wondering if there was anything I could do to check on this before taking it to a shop?

Also has anyone used the Honda touch up paint, just wanted to know how that worked out for you?

 

One common failure is just a broken plastic temperature ****. Make sure it's actually turning the shaft. If that's OK, then look in the engine compartment.

Two heater hoses carry hot water back into the firewall - one has a cable-operated valve. Turn the key ON (don't need to start the engine) & have someone turn the temperature dial while you watch for that cable to move. Let us know if it does.

Honda touch-up paint (or other makes of paint) depend mostly on how you prepare the surface & how well you shake the bottle. I had a 98 Heather Mist and the paint matched pretty well. Then I had a 2003 gold-color and the touch-up paint didn't match very well. YMMV...

 

If you just need one of those little bottles of touch up paint, get your paint code off of your door and take it to say your Local AutoZone...they stock most of the colors in their stores...
