2001 Accord LX Immobilizer/wiring
I purchased this car after sitting for 2 years. I keep having this issue where the green key light doesn't always come on and it prevents me from starting the car. I've been able to find a way to counter it by turning the key into the on position and moving the wires around behind the fuse box under the steering wheel until i see the green light flash and then I can start the car no problem. The only issue is that I have no idea what these wire are called and parts for the car have been discontinued making it even harder to find anyway. I already replaced the ignition switch and cylinder and while having this issue with the immobilizer I was starting the car with a flat head, so I know it's not that. I've fixed that issue so i can use the key again but that damn wiring that involves the immobilizer unit is killing me! any advice or guidance is appreciated.
WIRING SUCKS!!!
Dude I know what you mean, them little gremlins can do a number of stuff and it takes a long time to fig. out what it is.
I had a issue like that but not a Honda. It took two of us to fig. it out. 1 watching the gauges and the other folded up under the dash giggling 1 wire at a time.
