96 honda accord driver window regulator
My Name is Milt (novamilt) I am working on my daughter 96 accord driver window. I replaced the window motor and regulator. cable was (busted) but it still goes up very slow. I read an old post that said go to diy section and look up acc 5th gen ?????? Since I am new I am not sure where or what this is but I think adjusting the regulator is the key. It was replaced before and may be out of whack. The car has 250000 and still runs strong please help
I have the same problem with my 95 accord, my back windows rolls quick, but the front ones, are really slow, but mainly going up, I looked up somethings, everyone says to get lubricant spray, q-tips, and rubbing alcohol, and clean the track, as much as possible, because it may just be sticking, which may be your case, because you've already replaced the other major components.
Welcome to both of you
A few things to help in your serach. 5th gen Accords are the years from 94 to 97, meaning they are pretty much all the same.
If you need a manual for these, go to the General Tech area, there is a post/sticky right at the top - Common DIY Threads. In there there is a link to online manuals, get the one for the 94 Accord. It will show how to adjust the window if it is needed.
Yes, most of the time a good cleaning and re-lube of the run channels will do the trick....good luck.
