Cool Auto Climate Control Panel Failure

I own a 2000 Honda Accord EX 3.0L V6
The air mix control motor was not working. I replaced the air mix control motor (7 pin connector) The replacement started to work for 2 seconds, then all the climate control went down. The Control Panel (CP) does not work at all. I have a service manual with the V6 supplement. I checked fuses, continuity, etc. No problems there. I assume the control panel fried. Is there a way to test the control panel? Is there a fuse somewhere inside the CP?
I am awaiting the arrival of a used CP, but am wary of installing the replacement air mix motor if it will fry the CP. Can anyone help me on this dilemma ?

Welcome to HAF.

Do you have the manual HVAC or the auto HVAC head unit? Fairly common for the manual units to have an issue on the PCB - some have had luck using a jumper wire on the PCB to get it working again.

The Climate Control Panel is automatic type. Got a used one off EBAY. I am going to try that one with the original air mix motor that had the guts repaired. The replacement air mix motor, though it had the same type 7 pin connector, did not have the same electrical contacts inside or on the main gear. That may be what shorted out the head unit. I have power, no fuses blown, jumped the power transistor, blower still works. Wish me luck.

Default Air mix motor gear failed

Got it all together. Worked great until... the main gear in the air mix control motor assembly, the shaft crumbled. The plastic gear has a specific electrical circuit pattern on its face, so swapping out a gear from another motor will not work. The part number for the air mix motor is 063700-6780, but other numbers 12V, 11C, 0280 are on the cover. I do not know which of the two are relating to the gear.
Picture attached of gear.

Crazy glue did not work. Epoxied joint and filled hollow shaft with same. Hope it holds up.
