Default 99 Accord EX V6 - Climate Control Panel Question

I was searching around for others whom may have had the same issue my car recently is experiencing. I have read some threads relating to the climate control panel being the culprit for intermittent A/C problems, but I could not find any relating to Auto Heat....

I will be driving my car at hwy speeds and the heat (set in Auto mode) will just shut off for just a few seconds and then the blower kicks back on to the same exact setting. I can also manually just hit the auto mode button again and it comes back on.

Sorry, I am not much of an electrical expert! Just want to know if the A/C and Heat intermittent issues would be one in the same or not?

Thanks!
Nick

Check for any HVAC codes as a start.

Are you saying that the blower stops working yet the HVAC "says" it is on?

There are no check engine lights, etc. on and no, it completely shuts off when it occurs - blower and HVAC control area. Actually, since my post - it has stopped kicking back on after a few seconds, however, I am still able to manually just hit the auto button and it comes back on just fine.

Could this be a resistor problem? I know that is located under the glove box area. Just thinking or would that issue cause a complete failure???....I thought when a resistor went bad, it mainly effected non-auto systems and would cause, for example, fan position 2 or 4 (etc) to be non-functional.
