I have a 2004 honda accord with 30k miles. The malfunction light came on last year and the gas cap was replaced making the light go off. The light pop up again a week ago and I bought a newgas Cap from the honda dealer ($40) and this time the light stayed on...it has been2 days sinceI put the new cap and the light is still on...any suggestions?

Try disconnecting your negative battery cable, and leaving the doors open. This will drain all remaning power and reset your ECU. If the check engine light stays off well then most liekly it was the cas cap, if it comes back on however take it to Autozone or another automotive place with free check engine light help.
