Hey guys I've got a question for you.

Looking at buying a 2000 accord. It is a 4 cylinder auto model. Dont know the actual model tho. The car has 220,000 miles on it. The current owner told me he had the transmission replaced recently because of a recall honda had. He also said the car has had a tune up every year. Also the SRS and check engine lights are on.

I dont know too much about these cars seeing how ive owned nothing but american pick ups and rear wheel drive american cars. I'm looking to buy it for the gas mileage compared to my F250 Diesel.

My questions, what kind of MPG's should I be expecting? What is a decent price on a car with this many miles? Should I be expecting something to dramatically go wrong?

Have that car checked out by a competent mechanic and see if it's worth you buying it..

Im in the same exact boat as you are, im new here, looking at a 2000 accord ex 4cyl with 222,000 on it. Everything about this car says buy but the trans on mine was not replaced and im considering pulling it and installing a rebuild.

did you ever get the car? and if so have ya had any real issues with it?
