Default Radio Code

The battery died on my 04 Accord, I don't have an owner's manual, so I don't know what the code is to activate the radio. I found and informative video on how to remove the radio and install it. My question is, before I go to the trouble of taking the unit out, will I find the code somewhere on the unit.
Thanks

No guarantees that it's written anywhere on the car.

The radio security code was only printed on a small plastic card (credit-card size) inside the owners-manual package. It was only some individual dealers and owners who would write it down somewhere that's kinda hidden. Some people have found it written down inside the glovebox. But I don't think Honda ever marked it anywhere other than that little card.

But... you can sign into Honda Ownerlink with the car's VIN. It's been several years for me, so I'm not even sure if the website address is even the same. Google can probably find it. Once you register, that site will give you a set of 4 different codes, & one of them will be the correct one. I guess a dealer can also look it up with the radio's serial number, so digging in the dashboard will be necessary for that way, and you might have to prove ownership of the car.
