I see I see. What do you think it's at then?

110 at the wheels. You don't need to change the tranny for a head swap. There's nothing wrong with putting the H22 head on the F23, really opens some options.
What do you mean 110?

lol no, I mean he probably has 110hp, not an extra 110hp.

It opens options for cam selection, header/turbo manifolds, intake manifolds, etc. No you don't have to drill anything on the H22 head for it to fit. You have to plug 2 oil drain holes b/c they won't line up on the F23 block. You will have to change your turbo manifold.

That's funny since my car comes 150hp stock. Unless you mean it's 110 hp at the wheels, and the difference, 40-60 hp to my crankshaft.

I thought thatit was pretty obvious of what I was talking about. BTW - everyone w/ an F23a1 or a4 comes w/ 150hp/152tq at the crank.

well im assuming the h22 also fits onto the f22 as well. how much cheaper will it be to just swith the head with an h22? have people ever had any serious problems? how much HP gain can we expect to gain by switching to a DOHC? how much do you think we will have to pay for installation? would you just stick the head in or would you recommend doing some work on it 1st? is the only reason for getting just the head and not the whole block just because its cheaper?...peace

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I just got interested in the swap again.

BlkCurrantKord, you said that you switched your stock F23 for a ported one. Now is that ported one the SAME exact head as the stock one? Why did you do that? What differences does it make? Is it as good as swapping with an H22 and is it cheaper to port my F23 than to swap it out?

Can I also mild (I think that's the word) my F23 head to make the mileage 0? How much hp increase is there?

Thanks.
