No emissions crap to deal with, much better and easier ECU tuning options and software. A lot of it has to do with how OBD1 ECU's are operated and setup from the factory and easily modified/manipulated.

how costly is it to swap from obd2 to obd1 and what exactly is involved, is it simply swapping out ecus?
