Default 2000 Honda Accord Transmission question

Hello, I took my Accord 3.0 to get the transmission fluid changed. When I got it back I got several P07xx codes, one is P0740. I read that one of the causes is low fluid. I checked the fluid level and there is nothing on the dip stick. So did the transmission get damaged? I have driven the car 23 miles since I picked it up. I have to take it back but they are closed until Tuesday, 21 July. I am in NJ.
Thank you.

Cheif! I know you're enjoying the retirement life.

The codes are the only thing that was going on? Did it shift correctly? What I would do is not drive it if you can and have them pick up the car with a tow truck on there dime. If all you were getting was the codes you're fine. It just needs more fluid added.

Seanjordan20,

Thanks for the reply. I still work full time but been on furlough due to the Covid19 but the retirement helps. As far as the transmission, it was shifting fine before I took it in for the change. The fluid was really dirty. The first sign there was an issue was I noticed when I was stopped and started it was slipping. Then the codes started. P0700, P0705, P0706, P0740. I checked the fluid dip stick and nothing on the stick. The shop is about 2.5 miles from my house.

Updating this old post. I found out that the transmission shop did not put enough fluid in when they did the change so that is why I was getting the codes. I took the car back and they had to add more trans fluid.
