Default Tranny question

I have a 1991 Honda Accord Wagon automatic.
So the question is
Why does it drip transmission fluid only while running.
Also something that might help.
On the stick to check the fluid level the flat part of the plug on top was wet with fluid. I added more fluid wiped off the stick on top yet the next day it was covered in fluid again.
Any help would be great thanks in advanced
Kevin

Fluid expands when it is hot. If the fluid level is too high then it will drop out the filler tube seal. There is really no issue having too much fluid in it, it just makes for some drips. Only With Honda manuals it is important to not over fill.

thank you
It was dry or really low and I only put one quart Hyatt to see what it was doing. It didn't drip or leak. When the car is running it did with very low fluid.
