BMW underrates their engine output somewhat so that 168HP is in reality somewhere around 180HP

Just a question... why would they want to underrate their vehicals output?

Just seems like something a car company would want to brag about...

it can be writen off for insurance purposes, it becomes defined less of a sports car with a 4 door and no power

actually I came to that conclusion based upon the accelleration numbers and the weight of the cars in question. There is no way for a 168hp I4 car with 2900lbs is getting to 60 in anything close to 7.2 seconds unless HP # are wrong since they cannot lie about the weight of the vehicle....
