Default Holy Smokes

A Custom Built V12 in a VW Polo (Smaller than USDM Golf/Rabbit). Two seperate motors are powering the front and rear wheels respectively.

That is so sick!! I am a fan of the rabbit, but the Polo and the two seperate motors got it beat. I like the addition of the brakes too.

How much for a job like that?

That is so stupid. Do you realize how hot you would get inside that car with an unshielded motor right behind you? I would need to see this thing in action to believe it is for real. How about a video of this thing actually running?

This reminds me of a number of concept cars that different companies have tired.... Ford at one time experimented with 4 motors, one for each tire, but couldn't get the motors matched closely enough to sync up.... I think you'd have that issue here too.... I just have a hard time believing that someone in their back yard could get two motors to act the same at the same time, if one of them is off then you'd end up with the front (or rear) tires acting like they were braking and the other set wasn't... but keeping that in mind, since I'm guessing those trannies don't have locked differentials then imagine what would happen if one tire, say the front right, started to slip, it'd slow down the front left would speed up, which would lead to one of the rear tires reacting in a similar fashion and around you go!

I have to agree, I won't believe it until I see all four wheels burning rubber...
