only thing wrong i got was the tranny 3 times replace, this one works well for now. But i got to say my dad 92 accord is amazing and still running with almost 300,000 miles. Exhust was the only tourble with it, but that was a easy fix.

I do not agree that the 5th generation of accords in its entirety is more reliable. It seems some are comparing the 5th gen i4 to the 6th gen V6.
My 5th gen V6 (95)is the problem child in my garage. My wife has been driving the V6 since she was about 16 and the car had around 30k miles on it. It now has 119k and change. Most of the problems seem to have happened in the last 2 years or so:
Replaced both CV Axles
Replaced Battery twice (in about a 4 year time span)-I doubt that is the car's fault though
Replaced ignition coil
Replaced the brake master cylinder (pedal was intermittently traveling to the floor)
Replaced radiator fan motor
Replaced battery terminal (not expensive, but ticked me off)
The CEL is on (I believe for a faulty o2 sensor. I haven't checked it in a while)
The ABS light has been on since I met my wife about 5 years ago
It leaks oil (I believe I need to replace the oil pan gasket as that appears to be the source of the leak)
Currently, the speedometer is acting like it wants to go out too
I have new brake pads but I haven't gotten around to installing them yet (i know that is general maintenance though, but it just seems like "another thing")
I have had the 2000 LX for a little over a year and the only thing wrong with it is the stupid clock light(at night my wife loves to say "What time is it? [:@])and recently when it is really cold out, the brake light will come on. It has 126k and change. I have put 22k on it in a year.

So I would say almost any 4cyl Accord with a manual transmission is going to be your most reliable Accord.
