Talking New ride

Well folks, I got a new to me ride. a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 standard cab long bed, 4.7 magnum v8 auto trans, 1 owner with only 59222 original miles. The cool thing is, my sister and her husband surprised me on Easter Sunday with it. It was a great surprise. It rides and drives like new. It is a base model, no frills, vinyl mat, manual windows and locks, has plenty of power, The cool thing is, they gave it to us,,free,,yep,, zero dollars,,God is Good,,All the time.

Thumbs up 1000 miles

Hi yall, a lil update on this police package truck...
I Have a friend who works at the local Dodge dealership, he ran the vin # for me,,,it came back,,,you guessed it,,special order fleet package,,lots of heavy duty stuff, like brakes coolers for p.s. fluid,,heavy duty cooling package,,heavy duty brakes front and rear, 3.55 gears in the limited slip differential, heavy duty suspension,,ect,,ect,,,Although I have not timed it,,I can say UNOFFICIALLY<<runs high 13s in the 1/4 at about a buck o 5,,,
So far the only mod I have done is put on a aluminum tool box and took the baffle out of the air box. I plan on leaving it stock,,for now,,,,it is quiet during normal driving , but has a deep growl when opened up,,it has quick ratio steering as well,, all and all I am very happy with the new addition...as for the suzuki,,it popped a head gasket,,put some ceramic block seal in it,,gutted the thermostat,,said a prayer,,so far it is staying together,,it only goes to wifes work 1 mile away and to the $$ store 7 miles away,,and if it blows up,,I got a truck to drag it home..more pics soon,,

And yes my 2 sisters are awesome,,they also surprised me with a new grill,,not for the truck,,for me,,they are paying out of pocket to have all my teeth fixed,,about 6 grand worth of dental work paid in full cash out of pocket..

That is cool and glad you now have a good "hauler" now...that thing should pull that 16 ft trailer with dirt without much issue.
