The Old Official OFF-TOPIC Thread Is Done
I have a habit of throwing it in first, setting the e-brake, then turning the motor off. If I back in, I usually leave it in reverse.
It's important in any car to set the brake first, then let the clutch out, then you load the clutch and not the transmission (on hills mostly)

I use my parking break even with my AT if there is any incline at all. I don't trust a tiny pin to hold my car. Also my suburban was the 4x4 one that had that beautiful problem of switching into neutral while parked randomly. One day I found my truck across the street in the grass, yea let's bail out GM again.....
I actually have a friend with a celica, who drives his car as if it were stick, with the whole "downshifting" "rolling back" at stops..etc etc...thekid leaves his car in neutral when he parks all the time.
Lol He already has, he's a less than 20 year old kid who thinks a sound system consist primarily of subwoofers, hence the I have the loudest comment. If he weren't a little kid he would have said I have the best sounding, but no he he went for loudest. What does that say to you? Screams ignorance to me...
