Nah its just either do this or do homework, so this is the clear choice.

That would be nice, its so like people that don't know about cars to just jump to the worst conclusion. It breaks down and she automatically assumes the whole engine is blown.

 

I'm so bored I'm firing up my third vape bowl of the day. I was looking forward to re doing my exhaust system, as I found my loss of speed problem. But no hobby shop in miami has what I need. So I had to pay an extra $10 to get it shipped from 3 hours away where the mfg of my boat is. I had to pay an extra $10 for a $3 part, and I have to wait about a week for it to travel 3 hours. I almost want to just drive up there, but I'm not up to a 6 hour drive for a $3 piece.


EDIT Lol cameron that's the opposite of how my old freind responded when he threw a rod in a 94 deville. Lol I was in the car when he threw the rod. He tried to turn the motor a few times with that horrible sound a thrown rod makes. He wouldn't accept the engine was dead, and that is supposedly extremely hard to rebuild. Damn GM and their northstars that only last 100k miles, seriously.

Yeah... that's how it was when I was working on my future-father's-in law (step-fiance-father, dad-to-be?) Nissan Altima last weekend... he was like "Oh man, I'm gonna have to junk this and drive my F-150 now" and I was like "Chill dude"

1-Check for spark and fuel. Tons of fuel, no spark.
2-New plugs, cap and rotor. No spark.
3-New distributor, runs like a champ.

It was a $230 fix and the car runs like new, besides running a little rich because I havent set base timing yet... need to get a timing light this weekend.

 

What ended up being the problem?

 

Ok I know I'm a total engine noob but how the **** do you use a timing light? Ever since I was a little kid I've tried to figure out how the hell you use it to set the timing. I know what it looks like as Ihave one that is older than my me in my garage.

EDIT: Pin sized hole in the header/pipe coupler. I wasn't even able to find the hole, but it must have been. After watching Dexter a few times over I consider my self a splatter expert lol. And the splatter I have on my hatch is telling there is a small leak on the top, but I can't see it. Look at this picture and you will know what I mean. It shooting oil up about 5 inches.
