Yeah I watched it half way through and deleted it from my harddrive. I like doug bensons stand up but that movie was just too stupid for me. I'm just not stupid enough to giggle at nothing, that movie is more for your average brainless stoner that likes to get high and giggle. I'm your "I want to do or work on something" stoner.

 

yeah i started it and then didnt really see the point. waiting for the mail man today he should have fan boys.

 

comcast gave me a bill for 117. called up asked why they said they didnt know but couldnt take it off i say ok cancel it, they magically took it off and now i pay 14.99 amonth for 20 meg. and yesterday called t-mobile to tell them when my contract is up stop service(which is aug9) they asked why i said i get a costco membership discount with att, and a better fam plan, they made an offer of 1800 min /w my favs, unlim mess, and blackberry service for 79.99. for 2 lines. but the did tell me they offer a costco discount so im going to make them put that on it as well.

 

Yeah I need to bitch at t-mobile too... I pay $75/mo for 300min w/ myfaves, unlimited text and unlimited data.. ****s ridiculous. I just saw one of their commercials with my same base plan ($40/mo) with 100 minutes instead of 300.


Fatty, I adjusted my speaker crossovers to 200Hz with the steepest slope (6db/oct?) for ****s and gigs and the speakers still distort on just the one song. I figured out it's only the front (stock) speakers. I think I have the same size speakers in the back as the front, so I'm gonna swap them around so I can actually bring teh soundstage up to the front more instead of just fading it forward, dunno why I didnt think of this before...

I also faded them forward all the way just to see what it would sound like with only front speakers and I definitely dug it, too bad i carry people around a lot and think the people in the back would enjoy some tunes too. It's bad enough for my passengers already with time correction adjusted for the drivers seat haha.

The best thing you could do for a budget system is to buy an HU with built in crossovers and time correction. Speakers don't distort as much at high volume and the correction makes it sound like you have headphones on

 

lol No sir, I take it you have never heard a real system then. Yes timing correction is nice, but will not make ****ty speakers sound good. The thing with audio is, if you don't know any better you can think real crap sounds good, it's all relative. I don't have timing corrections, and I assure you my system is much more accurate and balanced than yours. Not to mention cleaner and brighter... A nice EQ and crossover network is more apt at making crappy speaker sound good than timing.

 

I more or less meant, if you're not going to spend the money on the speakers, you might as well drop some cash on a deck that can at least attempt to make lemonade out of lemons.

For example, my buddy has the Alpine deck that was a step below mine without the pro menu settings and his speakers sound like garbage. Same car, same speakers, different decks.

I don't doubt one bit your system sounds 100x better than mine, but for how much money I've invested in mine vs. how good it sounds, it sounds pretty damn good compared to factory systems in other cars.

My stocks $uc{!!!! With the auto EQ, Auto TA crossovers at (F) 100@-12 (R) 180@-6 and sub at 80@-12 the mid-bass through the highs sound flat as heck but still a major improvement from where they were.

Once I get the CDW's and my Phoenix Gold in, it'll be a whole different story.

 

LOL No you just agreed with me... Brandon originally only mentioned timing corrections, whereas I was saying a good EQ and crossover network will make ****ty speakers sound better, not so much the timing.
