if you plan to have one in florida just look at one of those brands that has the radar detector detector for what ive seen on the expensive ones they either have functionality or they usually trade off functionality for bells and whistles

valentine 1 for me.
i live in LA,CA so theres lots of obstructions.. the valentine 1 can pick up and tell the difference between each frequency.
if your in an open area... anything that picks up k1 is fine.

as for the guns.. you guys hear about what happened at VA tech? sucks.. =(

 

Escort passport 9500i is by far the best radar on the market. Right behind that is the Ecort passport 8500 X50.

Yes I am saddened about what happened at VA Tech. The news here said the serial #s had been filed off of the two guns he used. Which would make me think he obtained them illegally. But I thought I remembered them saying he bought the guns somewhere in VA? How could they tell that if there were no serial #s?
