Actually it was a "cold air intake", but since we have alot of rain and snow up here in the winter, i don't want it to suck in the water then i have a hydrolock, so i cut it and turn it into a short ram air intake which is down grading from CAI a little sacrifice i had to make. What does it do ?
Well it looks good when you open the hood hahaha. It sounds better when you get on the throttle, less restriction compare to factory air box and tube, the tube is very smooth inside to reduce air resistance, the tube won't shrink or expand due to temperature change, the filter can be reuse, and it weight less than all factory air intake components added together. Not gain much if anything for performance.

ABW is right, not a big difference, but maybe a few horses less, it's a sacrifice i had to make, because of where i live at the lowest point of the street, it's like a pond when raining especially the drain is always clogged up, i don't want the air intake to be the water intake, water injection is good but not this way.
