Yes, Eibach Pro-Kit was designed to be used with the stock shocks and will get rid of some, not all of the gap. IMO it looks the best since there is equal gap on the sides and top of the tire. Depending on how old your shocks are the ride will get bouncier, but will hold better in the corners. About $190 at tirerack.com, that's where I got them from and I looked at about 20 different sites and that was the cheapest.

I put my springs on a brought it in for a full alignment. They adjusted everything back to stock except the rear camber which is not adjustable without a camber kit. The camber is not severe enough to cause tire wear concern so you can go without it.

the amount of lowering you can get the car (safely) to do depends on many variables.
When you lower a car, all the geometry of the suspension changes, control arms come up and closer to parallel where the point of understeer becomes excessive, the amount the damper (shock absorber/strut cartridge) can be pushed before it bottoms out. For slamming the car you will need short bodies shocks to increase suspension travel, along with adjustable coilovers (like ground control) to stiffen the car up so it doesnt bottom out. If you have tire to fender clearance as little as my car then you will need to stiffen it up a lot and reinforce mounting points.
You will need to use spacers to put control arms back to their original angles if you decide to lower the car over 1.5 inches.
