Default I need more ground clearance.

I need some extra ground clearance for my 95 accord lx. It's time to replace my struts again after 4 years and I want to get something more aggressive than stock. When this last set of struts was new it was still fairly easy to bottom the car out. I was thinking of buyingstruts for the AccordWagon but it seems that they use the samepart so that won't help.Does the old odessy ride on aaccord platform? Maybe I could use stuts for the van if thats the case.

Any help is appreciated. I'm not trying to make the accordready for the Rubicon trail or anything. I'mjust trying to get ita little higher than stock to fit my driving style.

little higher than stock? It has a insane ride height stock. It pretty much has 4x4 status. I personally dont know of any way to get it higher though.

Shocks control spring oscillations, not ride height, basically you want stiffer springs with the same height...

But, yes, Accords have carried the 4x4 status for a long time, I don't think you can find a car with a higher stock ride height.

I'm well aware of what shocks and springs do, you get both when you buy a strut. And no, I want more height too. I take this car off road sometimes and have more than a few times wished my car was an inch or two higher. And obviously using struts for heavier carwould provide more height andbe stiffer, you probably haven't seen a civic with accord struts on itbefore but it does just that.

I like how thisone sits.

I was tearing througha field the other night and rippedoff 2 rubberexhaust hangers. I guess nobody here really has much experience trying to raise an accord up, because who really wants to do that. Do you guys know of any largerhonda forums where I might have a better chance of getting some help?

I cant think of any feasible way to lift an Accord without some serious work. I know for a fact there a no bolt on parts to raise it up, theres no market for it. If your going to drive an Accord through fields... maybe get a 4x4?

Default Woah

So all they did was put accord struts on that civic I have needed to lift my civic for a long time and if all it takes are some accord struts I'm ALL OVER IT.

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread
