Aftermarket wheels on a 2006 Accord
Hi everyone, I currently have the 16" wheels that come on the ex. I'm thinking of putting aftermarket wheels with 235/45/17 tires. The offset on the wheels is 35mm. Does anyone know if this will work or will the tires stick out too far. Any imput would be appreciated! The rims are 17x8.

Hello New Member
My books are telling me that tire is too wide...it says if your useing a 17x8" whell then your tire should be sized @ 215/45/17 or 215/50/17
These are the safe sizes..no rubbing!

I have a TL Type-S wheels on my 06 Accord Sedan, 17x8 +45 offset, 235/45/17 tires, and it fits perfectly. You're mentioning +35 offset, that may not work with those tires on your car, but I don't know for sure.

Just purchased tires and rims
I just picked up a set of 17.7.5 Metal Fx M40 wheels with 225/45/17 tires. I'm not sure of the offset, but it must be aroung 40 as the rims stick out about an inch further than stock. This setup seems perfect for the accord. The set didn't come with hubcentric rings and after having the wheels and tires balanced twice I still have vibration issues. The shop that balanced them said they seemed to line up okay and aren't sure what the problem is. Trying to get info on which rings I would need hasn't been easy. I'll post pics of these rims on my car soon and let you know if a set of rings helps the vibration issues.
