Default Help with wheels please

Ok, this is my first post here. Just bought a 2010 Accord LX-P. It has the stock 16" alloy wheels. I can get a good deal on stock 17" alloy wheels from a 2010 Accord EX. Are there any problems with switching out my 16's for the 17's ? The offset on the 17's is 55. I can not find what the offset on the 16's is. Also, will my speedometer be affected. Thanks for the help. Hopefully I can return it in the future!!

The wheels will fit just fine.

I think the LX & EX both have stock tire sizes that work out to nearly the same outer tread diameter, so your speedometer will be OK. Just in case, post the tire sizes & one of us can check.

The stock tires on My LXP right now are 215/60/16. The wheels that I am considering are 17" tire size 225/50/17. If this changes the speedometer, wouldn't that also affect the odometer, making it inaccurate over time? I am concerned about my Honda warranty. I purchased the Honda extended warranty for 8yrs/120,000 miles. Will this void my warranty??

Thanks!!!

The difference is a bit more than 1%, with the 225/50-17 being smaller. So your speedometer & odometer will read about 1% high.

I bet they don't change the speedometer/odometer at all between the LX & EX. There's probably more error than that right from the factory.

225/55-17 tires would be about 2% bigger than your LX stock tires, so maybe buy that size when these wear out?
