Exclamation Question about the hub

Can you take the hub from a 2002 Honda accord v6. and put it on a 2002 Honda accord 4cyl. Safely

Pretty sure in 2002 the 4-cyl has 4-bolt wheels and the V-6 has 5-bolt wheels.

If that's your plan (5-lug conversion) you might have to grab some other parts not JUST the hub.

Not sure, I haven't dont that conversion. You'll want to see whether the brake rotors are any larger in outer diameter. If they are, you'll need calipers from a V-6 car, and maybe even knuckles. You can check parts sites (like maybe hondapartsnow dot com?) that use the actual Honda part numbers, & see if the knuckles or the calipers are the same part number.

And you'll need the setup on the rear too.

The serial number on the 4 cylinder accord knuckle matches the v6 serial number so I'm assuming there the same for the v6 and 4 cylinder accords

Good. Check the calipers part number too.

The calipers serial numbers don't match for the rear calipers so I would need new rear calipers I was already planning on a brembo front brake kit so that will cover the front brakes

With different part #s I bet you'll find the rear rotor diameter is different. How about the rear knuckle part #?

If you can get the rear rotors first, and compare their diameter carefully, that'll help you understand. But then if you DO need rear calipers you'll have to wait for them. Waste time vs. waste money I guess. Maybe www dot ahmownerlink dot com (Honda owner-link) might have brake-rotor diameter in published specs?

I was Planning on new rear rotors too but the main thing I was concerned about was if the calipers from the 4 cylinder accord would fit the rotors from the V6 I guess when I get the rear rotors I can test fit the old calipers and see if they fit and that should give me my answer

You will absolutely have to get new rear rotors because of the 5 lugs instead of 4. Question is whether the braking disk is the same dimensions. I don't know the answer, just suggesting how I'd go about finding it.
