Breathing new life in my 98 LX
So, I decided to give it some rehab.
I have been driving my 98 Accord sedan since new in 97.
Hit 200k a couple of years ago, and like on a switch, the speed sensor quit. No speedo, no cruise. And the defective clear coat made me all but give up.
But the $500 from a recent fender bender, and a tax refund, made me change my mind.
Got a bunch of little things to fix, plus a timing belt and a clutch, and i bet I can squeeze at least 100k more out of it.
Got the whole car sanded and ready for paint. Soon as i patch the hole where the trailer hitch went thru the bumper.
Look forward to getting my hands dirty i am sure ill bug this forum for a lot of issues.

I painted my car a few months ago.
It was emerald green as well, no dents at all, but the clear coat baked off the hood, trunk, and roof.
I used a single stage paint but as it was my first time painting a car (or painting anything) but when I paint another car (I will cause I kinda enjoyed it) I will def use a real automotive 2 stage paint.

I am going to wet sand the car this spring and spray it again this time with some hardener in the paint.
Anyway 100% better. I primed all the chrome trim on the car and painted over it. I like the blacked out look.

Cool. I am blacking out the trim as well. Did that with 2 cars in high school, and love the look. Ill get some pics up as i go.
Gonna go with a forest green... So i dont have to paint all the door jambs and inside of hood and trunk.
